After a week relaxing in the calm seclusion of Kauai, we departed to Maui, where we had expected to find more crowds and busier towns. In reality, although there are more people (it’s the second most populated island in the state), it still had that relaxing and secluded feel to it that Kauai exhibited. Relaxing, of course, is relative. Our form of that included such things as biking down Haleakala, the largest dormant volcano in the world.
